Dr. Schmitz, a native of Mankato, Minnesota, was an honors graduate of the College of St. Thomas. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Indiana Medical School, he completed family practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. As a Board Certified Family Practitioner, Dr. Schmitz began practice in Hudson in 1981. He is also certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Medical Examiner. With a special interest in Obstetrics and Sports Medicine, Dr. Schmitz also enjoys providing a full range of primary health care services within the clinic setting. During the winter months he loves to
ski and summers take him "up north" to enjoy
the great outdoors.
