Dr. Helmen joined Hudson Physicians clinic in 1987 following a family practice residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Dr. Helmen, from Milaca, Minnesota, attended undergraduate school at St. Cloud and completed his undergraduate and medical school studies at Oral Roberts School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in the American Academy of Family Practitioners. His areas of special interest and expertise include cardiology, emergency medicine, aviation medicine and orthopedics. He is Certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Medical Examiner. Skiing, traveling, flying and scuba diving are his personal interests.
