Osteoporosis, once thought to be a natural part of aging amoong women, is no longer considered age or gender-dependent. It is largely preventable due to the remarkable progress in research. Exercise, nutrition and medical treatment all plan an important role in rpeventing or delaying onset. During this seminar, Dr. Severson will discuss risks, prevention, diagnosis and treatment for osteoporosis. participants will also be introduced to the bone densitometry scanning process.
