Sessions:


Receiving the Terminal Diagnosis
- presented by Dr. Kristin Severson, Internal Medicine, Hudson Physicians.  Learn what you might expect for your loved one from a medical perspecitve when the goal is no longer finding a cure but maintaining comfort.  Dr. Severson will address end of life physical needs and comfort as well as the importance of the relationship with your doctor.


Why Choose Hospice?
- presented by Julie Holle, RN, Adoray Home Health and Hospice. The end of life is a completely natural phase of the overall life experience. Julie will talk about the important things to know about hospice including the focus on providing needed support so a person can do the things they want to do in the time remaining.


Celebrating the Life of your Loved One
- by Joel Larson, Founder, Great Book of Life, is a cancer survivor who will guide and inspire you to capture and celebrate the life of your loved one as well as your own.


How to Caregive Effectively
- by Linda Shurden, RN, Owner, Comfort Keepers, recognizes that many people do not know how to begin to address this new responsibility and often become streesed and ill themselves.  Linda will help you identify how to make the most of this experience whithout losing yourself.


Walking through the Grief
- by Dennis Herschbach, author, Grief Journey. After the death of a loved one, survivors must "re-member" - become members of society in a new and often times frightening way. Dennis will share his experiences with "re-membering" following the death of his wife.
