Specialists in Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery

Whether you have been referred for plastic surgery to improve your health and aid in recovery or you are considering cosmetic surgery or treatment for personal comfort and satisfaction, we’re here to help you make informed decisions.

At Hudson Hospital & Clinics, we have highly regarded surgeon specialists and treatment clinicians in both general plastic surgery and cosmetic treatment, as well as in facial specialization. Personalized, exceptional care is our hallmark.

Reconstructive surgery repairs the function and appearance of a specific part or area of your body. There are three main reasons why reconstructive plastic surgery may be appropriate:

  • medical reasons, such as to improve breathing or remove a tumor
  • birth defects or deformities that may inhibit daily activities
  • traumatic injury, scarring or burns
Some common reconstructive surgeries include:
  • Nasal obstruction and deviation
  • Breast reconstruction
  • Breast reduction
  • Cleft palate and lip
  • Scar revision
  • Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancers
  • Tumor removal and skin repair

Each year, a large proportion of plastic surgery and treatments are performed on the face. Our clinic has facial surgeon specialists with extensive background in otolaryngology, or ear, nose and throat, expertise.

Cosmetic Surgery & Treatments

Most people either want to look as youthful as they feel or want to change something that has bothered them for years. Whether cosmetic surgery is the right choice for you is a personal question requiring some serious soul-searching and personal examination – both by you and your doctor.

Cosmetic Treatments

The following treatments are offered at convenient package prices:

  • Sclerotherapy Leg Treatment for Varicose Veins
More than 50 percent of our population has varicose or “spider” veins in their legs. Heredity is the number one contributing factor, and abnormal veins from various causes can affect women and men of all ages. For some people, spider veins can have discomfort ranging from dull throbbing pain to a burning sensation. The larger vessels are more likely to cause discomfort.

Spider veins are most commonly treated by a procedure called sclerotherapy. During the treatment, an agent is injected with a very fine needle into the spider vein. The agent irritates the lining of the vein and causes it to collapse. In response, the body reabsorbs the collapsed vein as part of a normal process. Over a period of weeks, the veins eventually fade and become barely noticeable, or they disappear completely.

Sclerothrapy cannot be used to treat all leg veins. A careful screening exam is performed before any treatment can be started. It is important to remember that the number of treatments can be only estimated since individual responses may vary. Your response will depend on the type and number of spider veins being treated.
  • Dermal Filler Treatment for Facial Wrinkles and Creases
Dermal fillers such as Botox® are being used more and more to help reverse the changes associated with aging. Because the goal is to return the skin to its original youthful state, dermal fillers can give a more natural appearance than surgical face lifts. Dermal fillers are used to reduce or eliminate wrinkles, raise scar depressions, enhance lips, and replace soft-tissue volume loss.

Botox and other dermal filler agents combat wrinkles that are created when nerve cells within the muscles beneath the skin release a chemical called acetylcholine. This chemical triggers a muscle contraction that creates wrinkles. The fillers contain compounds that disrupt the release of acetylcholine, which essentially paralyzes the muscle and stops the contraction. Results are fully evident within one week after treatment and remain for a minimum of three months. Dermal filler treatment can reduce wrinkles by 80 percent. Results vary among individual cases, and the results are temporary. You will need to plan for additional injections, depending on your long-term treatment goals. For severe wrinkling, surgical procedures may be more appropriate, such as a facelift, forehead lift, and eyelid surgery.
How do I begin?

A typical patient will experience a single screening and treatment appointment usually lasting 30 minutes. Both the screening and treatment are available at a fixed package price. Contact the clinic for pricing and scheduling.
