Program & Services Support

Hudson Hospital Foundation is proud to support many programs that make life safer and more comfortable for people in the region. With contributions from individuals and businesses, the Foundation funds the following programs and many others:


Healing Arts Program

  • Original artwork placed throughout the hospital to enrich, inspire and soothe
  • 56 regional artists have exhibited more than 500 works of art
  • 15 volunteers worked 180 hours
  • 49 works of art sold in 2008
  • $12,000 raised last year, ensuring continued success
  • Four public receptions were held with 240 people attending

Lifeline® home monitoring

  • Affordable monitoring units helped 106 community members live independently
  • Units created 24-hour link to the hospital
  • Program funded since 1984
  • Foundation subsidized monthly equipment fee
  • 28 callers needed assistance in 2007
  • “I’m so happy my mother has Lifeline. It’s a great program, which allows my mother to live independently and it gives me peace of mind.”
Heart2Heart
  • 67 automatic external defibrillators (AEDs) placed throughout Hudson and the surrounding area, 20 made possible through Foundation support
  • More than 300 community members received CPR and AED training last year
  • CPR and AED training proven to reduce heart attack deaths
  • Strong and active coalition between Hudson Hospital & Clinics, St. Croix EMS & Rescue, Hudson School District and Hudson Hospital Foundation
Scholarships
  • $16,000 in college scholarships awarded over the years to Hudson High School seniors
  • Recipients demonstrated interest in health-related education and careers
  • Scholarship winners attended: Marquette University; University of Wisconsin – Madison; Rochester Community and Technical College; University of Wisconsin – La Crosse; University of Minnesota – Twin Cities; Purdue, and Winona State University
