Overuse of the shoulder and inflammation caused by diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, and natural age related degeneration of surrounding soft tissues can all cause shoulder pain. The most moveable joint in the body, the shoulder is also one of the most potentially unstable joints. As a result, it is the site of many problems including instability, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff disease, tendinitis, bursitis, and arthritis. The symptoms of shoulder problems - pain, inflammation, and stiffness, as well as their diagnosis and treatment, vary widely, depending on the specific problem.

Don't let your condition keep you from leading an active, healthy, productive live. Join Dr. Schneider as he discusses shoulder treatments, shoulder joint replacement and non-surgical and surgical procedures. The goal of surgical options is help you return to many of your activities with less pain and greater freedom of movement.

Don't Let a Fall be Your Last Trip - Free Health Seminar & Luncheon

Featured Presenter:
Kristin Severson, DO, Internal Medicine, Hudson Physicians

Schedule:
Thursday, June 10, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Cost:
Free Health Seminar

Location:
Hudson Hospital & Clinics Conference Center

Who Should Attend: Older adults who have experienced a fall or are concerned about falling for any reason.

Registration: Registration required. Call the Health Resource Center at (715) 531-6250.

Falling, whether due to slippery stairs or health-related reasons like dizziness or weakened eyesight, can be physically and emotionally devastating.

Most falls result in an injury. With luck, there will only be a scrape or bruise, but many falls result in broken bones with temporary or permanent loss of independence.

We'd like to greatly reduce your chances of falling - and the more know, the more control you’ll have to maintain control.

During the seminar, you can expect: a keynote presentation by Dr. Severson addressing the full scope of what you need to know to prevent falls; mini-presentations from clinical specialists including nutrition, movement therapy, resource experts and pharmacists who will help identify and help reduce a variety of contributing factors to falling; break time to relax, stretch and experience Tai Chi, a form of movement that helps keep you agile; and a free lunch to nourish your body and mind!
